When Danita C. Doleman went to school at Howard University, she was a big fan of the school and HBCUs in general, and she still is. As a member of a powerful network of alumni, she can help the current and next generation of IT and business professionals grow and learn.
The teacher, Ms. Doleman, knows that African-Americans are more likely to have diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure than white people. When she was younger, she came up with a health and wellness program for young people to follow. She has teamed up with a national organization to try out a program that uses visualization and wearable technology for a tool that can be used on many different platforms. In addition, there are exercises and foods that help keep your heart healthy, and these things will also help you live longer and have better medical outcomes.
